Overview

Tekoo Primary School was founded in 2014 by the local community in a bid to help educate their children. It is located in the Amuru district in the north of Uganda, an area greatly affected by a 20 year war with the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). Around 200 children currently attend this school, and it has six teachers who are paid around £15 each a month.

We are delighted that Thriving Life Church is partnering with Abaana, to give the children at Tekoo Primary School a new school.

The first stages of the school were finished in 2018, and the community are very excited that they now have a permanent building.
